Life Saving Hacks For Family Trips Blog Featured ImageLife Saving Hacks For Family Trips Blog

Bonding with my kids every vacation is one of my ways of allowing them to enjoy their childhood and for me to relax from my work and stress at home. But traveling with kids is challenging and can be stressful if you are not prepared for the trip. So how do I handle traveling with three kids? At first, it was a disaster. The hours spent on the road will make the children uncomfortable and bored. They will rant restlessly during the trip. But of course, experience has taught me a lesson. So after this experience, I knew what I should prepare on my next family trip to make the trip stress-free for me and enjoyable for the kids.

I will share with you some essential life saving hacks for family trips that I learned and applied on my every trip with my family. Why did I say, life saving? Because as moms, we should always prioritize the safety of our loved ones before anything else. So here are the travel hacks that you could use on your next family trip to avoid problems.

A first aid kit is a must!

Getting sick on the road or during your stay in your hotel will automatically ruin the supposedly memorable vacation. I always prepare my travel kit first before the others. Because we know what will happen, especially kids who are vulnerable and very sensitive, so it is a must that you should always have your kit every time you travel solo or with your family. This kit should contain the following;

  • Medicines for diarrhea, fever, cold and cough
  • Alcohol, plaster, gauze, betadine
  • Medicine for travel sickness
  • Disinfectant wipes, cotton

Book for a hotel ahead of time

I have experienced having a hard time looking for accommodation since all the hotels I’ve known in the city are fully booked. It took me almost 2 hours to find a comfortable hotel that is near the city. I was exhausted from the 3 hours ride–my back hurts, and the kids are already complaining and crying; while my youngest was fast asleep on my shoulder. Because of that dreadful experience, I learned to book for a hotel online, two weeks, or one month before our trip.

Pack up the charger and power bank

Mobile, tablet, power bank should be fully charged when traveling. When my children get bored but refuse to sleep, I allow them to play with the tablet or watch their favorite movies on it. Always keep your phone fully charged so you will not have any problems in case of an emergency and you need to contact someone.

Wear comfortable clothes

DO NOT dress your kids according to fashion if it is not comfortable for them. I learned a lot from this experience. The uncomfortable outfit makes my kids uneasy and unhappy. I dress them in baggy and soft shirts and pajamas because they can easily drift off to sleep on it.

Spare clothes for everyone

Regretting that I forgot to bring spare clothes always happens to me. Kids get dirty quickly, and because you are the one to clean them, you might get dirty too. It is beautiful and comfortable to wear fresh clothes always. So be wise to pack spare clothes during family trips.

Bring snacks and water bottles

I am meticulous when it comes to my kid’s snacks. I always make sure that what they eat is safe. So I always prepare finger food snacks in sealed containers for them to eat on the road and also water bottles for each one of us. It saves me money than stopping in a fast-food chain.

I believe that we all know what are the other essentials that we must bring when we are traveling alone or with a friend. The six life saving hacks mentioned above are vital for family trips. Be prepared and always ensure the safety of our family. Have a happy Trip!

A Home-based Entrepreneur and Blogger For me, being a home-based entrepreneur, parent and blogger has been quite an experience. Here’s how I got started on it all. Where I’ve been Becoming a blogger and a hardcore, home-based entrepreneur wasn’t exactly a planned career action for me. I can almost say I didn’t see it coming. It all started when I got pregnant with my first child. Back then, I was still working as a flight attendant, and I have to admit that I really loved my job. But when that baby came on board, I decided that I wanted to be as involved in my child’s life as I could possibly be. Once I’d made my decision, I swung into action. I quit my job and quickly made plans for a new (and different) life with the baby in mind. My foray into the glamorous world of entrepreneurship and blogging was a little more abrupt. This started a lot more recently.   I first came into contact with these products sometime around two years ago. In 2018, my aunt-in-law would be the first person to preach to me the wonders of Aulora Kodenshi. I confess that I was very skeptical back then. As I mentioned earlier, I didn’t see myself as an entrepreneur (or even a blogger for that matter). I felt I was comfortable in my role as a housewife and that picking up endeavors like that was for people who had more money to “waste.” I decided to continue to keep my focus as a good mother and an ideal housewife. The plan was, if I kept feeding my family good food and making sure that they all exercised regularly, there wouldn’t ever be a need to buy any of the products my husband’s aunt talked to me about. As it turned out, I’d not end up buying the products; I’d also become one of its most vocal advocates. How I Got Here Our second child got a case of eczema when she was about 18 months old. Ever since that time, every so often, she’d have a rather severe outbreak. The doctors would always tell us it was nothing serious, nothing to bother about, and we believed them for the most part. A reason for this was that almost like clock-work, she’d always get better after every 3-6 months. All of this changed though in February 2019. She had an outbreak, and we thought it was normal until she scratched so hard she drew blood. We tried everything to no avail. Frustrated, I decided to try SHIRUTO, one of the many products from BE International. In no time at all, the eczema and even the scars cleared up. I was so excited, I took to my social media page to share my joy, and that’s how I got into blogging and entrepreneurship. Plans for the Future I’m happy with where I am right now. I have a healthy family with a career I want to see grow. I don’t conform to the classic stay-at-mom routine of waking early in the morning. I do my best work at night when everyone’s happy and rested. The goal is to continue to remain healthy and inspire everyone around me to be free and keep those positive vibes flowing strong!
